A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, can dramatically enhance the beauty of the neck and
jawline area.
What is the recovery time?
You will be provided with full aftercare instructions, which include keeping your head elevated and minimizing movement of your neck. You may have a special bandage to help reduce bruising and swelling. Swelling and bruising are common after surgery, and you may experience a sensation of tightness. These side effects typically diminish in about a week, and Dr. Hyman will likely clear you to return to work in one to two weeks following your procedure. Take care to protect your incision sites. Avoid situations that pose a risk of impacting the neck area. It is best to wear clothing with front closures. Once the bandages are removed, continue to avoid sun exposure, and if you need to venture out, sunscreen is a must.
