Dr. Hyman serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, teaching medical students how to perform plastic surgery through residency programs at New York Presbyterian and Northwell Health. Dr. Hyman has full surgical privileges at Lenox Hill Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospitals.

Dr. Hyman always makes himself available for phone calls or even texts if more convenient for the patient. From his exhaustive follow-up and commitment to patient satisfaction to his warm, relatable bedside manner that instantly sets patients at ease, Dr. Hyman is beloved by his patients.

Education and background

After graduating from Jefferson Medical College Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Hyman completed his general surgery residency at the University of California at San Diego and his plastic surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian. He trained at some of the finest NYC hospitals, such as HSS (Hospital for Special Surgery), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Columbia University Hospital. Following his extensive surgical training, Dr. Hyman started a private practice in Manhattan, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Hyman has performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgeries for survivors of breast cancer. In addition, he has extensive experience helping patients with body contouring after massive weight loss.

On a personal note

Prior to his medical career, Dr. Hyman was a professional mogul and extreme skier who won numerous awards and was featured on the covers of many major ski magazines. Today, Dr. Hyman still enjoys skiing with his family, playing guitar, and spending time with his dog, Charlie.
